Jojo (Roman Griffin Davis) is a lonely young boy raised by a single mother, living in Germany in the final months of the war. With his father absent, Jojo is an enthusiastic albeit inept member of the Hitler Youth, with his imaginary friend none otherby Adolf Hitler himself (Taika Watiti). But when he discovers his mother has been hiding a young Jewish girl (Thomasin McKenzie) in their house, he is forced to confront the veracity of his own beliefs. Tackling the ludicrousness of racism and nationalism, Taiki Watiti crafts a riotously funny and surprisingly touching comedy.
